The snowfall accumulation limit for the season is 250cm as recorded by Environment of Canada at the Ottawa Airport or 40 visits. Coverage beyond these terms will cost an additional one-time fee of $60 per visit. If you have not OPT-OUT, you will automatically be billed.

Generally, we wait until the snow has stopped falling to before we dispatch. It will take several hours from that point to clear your laneway. Thank you for your patience. During a heavy snowstorm, first passes are always quick passes to ensure you have the space you need to clear out. These visits could occur overnight before 6 am or during the day before 4pm. A full scrap clean will happen once the snowfall has ceased, and the city of Ottawa plows have gone by. During light snowfalls we will likely wait until city of Ottawa plows have gone by before we visit your home. For events under 5cm, we do not visit your home. However, if snow were to accumulate over 5cm within a few days span, we will dispatch a visit to your home.

We are available 24/7, holidays included to clear snow. Accumulations must be over 5cm. We ask for your patience during these times.

We ask that you please refrain from parking at the end of your laneway, please park as close to your house as possible so we have the room we need to access your laneway. Failure to do so will result in a missed pass on your laneway. Vehicles must be removed for final pass.

Our operators will get as close as they can to garage doors, houses, properties and driveway sides as they feel comfortable, our operators are encouraged to maintain approximately 2-3 ft from any structures and 1 ft from our laneway markers. Please push snow from edges as well as from the front of the garage door approximately 2-3 ft. This will assist our operators greatly and you will have a clean laneway.

PLEASE keep obstacles such as electrical cords, garbage cans, downspouts, rocks, children’s toys, carpets/rugs etc. clear of laneway. Frosty’s Snow is not responsible for any damage caused to obstacles left out in the laneway. That includes anything projected into, onto or that are left on the laneway. Operators cannot see under the snow; they cannot be found liable for any hidden obstacles that may be damaged or cause damage. Please make sure your laneway and lawn are clean & clear for winter. Hidden items can also cause damage to our equipment, causing significant delays and expensive repairs that you may be subject to cover. Any garden beds along the edges of the laneway containing special species plants must be wrapped and or protected with wooden structure. We cannot be held responsible for any damages to driveway, plants/ items bordering the laneway, or left in the laneway. Please remove any tree branches that hang less than 12’ off the ground. Low branches will prevent the tractor from accessing your laneway, if the tractor cannot access your laneway, it will not be cleared. The homeowner is responsible for keeping obstacles clear of the laneway (freezing rain, ice, melt re-freeze, drifting, buildup from sidewalk plows, sanding/salting, and snowfalls less than 5cm as per Environment or Canada.

If you have limited space upon where we can put the snow, we will do what we can to fill the space we can with snow, however we do not remove snow from your property. If snow is placed on city property, we cannot be held accountable for any set fines from Ottawa By-Law services.

All accounts must be paid in full; A signed contract must be returned to the office or via e-mail and a stake will be place in front of your home before snow blowing will commence.
